The challenge: Transform a Soviet block-style apartment into a welcoming, spacious home.
The Meron’s apartment demanded a floor-to-ceiling revamp.
The first step was to lighten and brighten the indoors by welcoming sunlight — without exposing too much of the cement outdoors. This was done through careful use of floor-to-ceiling windows, placed in corners or facing the patio.
A minimalist aesthetic went well with the apartment’s preexisting loft-style structure. Built-in bookshelves, clean lighting, and careful use of colors were highlighted by dynamic sidepieces and carefully-chosen art pieces.
The ultimate goal was to modernize, expand, and add warmth to a home. Utilizing natural light and streamlined design, accent pieces and carefully built-in features created a livable, clean warmth.
